Due to climate change, diseases, invasive competitors, and loss of habitat, hundreds of species of flora and fauna are at constant risk of imminent extinction. This project depicts creatures currently on the Endangered Species List, as well as another version which I refer to as their "ghosts", a white-on-white depiction of that creature, meant to demonstrate how their loss deprives us. Imagining a world absent of these remarkable beings, I hope to inspire viewers to recognize how our actions impact the outcome, and what we risk losing forever.
